We are pleased to announce the new agreement enforced by Global Gambling Regulators.

Global gambling regulators are committed to safeguarding the public policies relating to the prevention of problem gambling, customer protection and securing the safety of underage persons. This new agreement will further bring some sanity and decency into the gaming industry.

In lieu of this, various gambling regulators across the globe have come together to display their displeasures on skins gambling and loot boxes video games. The gaming regulators share a number of common principles despite their distinct duties and powers within their national gambling frameworks.

About 15 gambling regulators from across Europe, as well as Washington State Gambling Commission, teamed up to enforce laws against risks created by the blurring of lines between gambling and gaming.

They resolve to address unlicensed third-party websites that provide illegal gambling connected with favorite video games. The regulators beckon on technology platforms and the entire video games industry to support this course and help to outwit these websites. Also, the agreement involves that games providers totally avoid constituting gambling under national laws through the features within games, for example, loot boxes.

The Chief Executive and signatory for the Gambling Commission, Neil McArthur has this to say on the declaration:

“We have teamed up to call on video games companies to tackle the clear public concern around the risks gambling and some video games can pose to children. We encourage video games companies to work with their gambling regulators and take action now to address those concerns to make sure that consumers, and particularly children, are protected.”

It is imperative that parents be aware of the risks untamed games and gambling pose on their children. Many of these unlicensed websites pop up with indecent advertisements that could lure kids to gamble with money intended for educative gaming products.

The gaming regulators are now more committed to thoroughly analyzing the characteristics of video games and social gaming. With this common goal, the gaming industry can offer much safety to customers and avoid contributing to the high level of decadence in the world.
